Diakont commissioned unique TV system STS-K-78P for RPV internal surface inspection at Kola NPP.

    Diakont was awarded a contract for the RPV inspection system for Kola NPP from Swedish government organization “SIP – Nuclear Safety”.

    Experts of Swedish NDT service company “Westinghouse Atom TRC” supervised the progress of the system development, manufacture and acceptance.

    An important advantage of the system is capability of guaranteed defects revealing at internal RPV surface at the early stage of their development. Experience of many Russian and foreign countries confirms that timely defects detection and their following removal is much less expensive than repair the consequences of this defects development.

    TV systems of STS-K-78 has been using for RPV inspection since 1996. During this period at different NPPs more than 40 defects have been revealed, which had not be detected by other inspection techniques.
