In addition to its principal facilities, Diakont also maintains a network of distributors and agents worldwide.
Manufacturing Capabilities:
- Fabrication, assembly, and QC of Diakont products is completed in an internal 50,000 ft2 production facility.
- Most parts for video and robotic systems are manufactured on modern CNC milling machines from DMG (Germany), Cincinnati Lamb (UK), and Datron (Germany), with machining of parts to a precision of 2-microns.
- Casings, flanges, and other cylindrical parts are fabricated using combination turning-milling machines from Mazak (Japan).
- Lens, camera body, and light components are manufactured on modern CNC turning machines from Masturn (Czech Republic) with NC Heidenhein control systems.
- Parts with complex geometry are produced using either 5-axis mills from DMG (Germany), or EDM machining centers from Sodick (Japan) and SmartDEM (Germany).
- Non-browning glass lenses are fabricated in Diakont’s clean optical assembly facility, using specialized alignment stands.
- Through every stage of fabrication and assembly, checkpoint inspection steps guarantee quality assurance. QC is completed using instruments such as 3-coordinate measuring machines, electro-optical systems, and other measuring equipment.
